Learning German while having fun – for children and teenagers aged 4 to 19
Children and teenagers aged between 4 and 19 discover the German language and culture with enthusiasm, creativity and ease in our varied programmes.
Whether as a foreign language or mother tongue – our learning paths (DaF and DaM) are tailored to the respective language level and promote language skills through play, fun and active participation in a holistic approach.
Lessons take place on Wednesdays or once a month on Saturdays and are structured as follows:
German as a foreign language (DaF): for children who are learning German as a foreign language
German as a mother tongue (DaM): for children who already speak German

Registration:
From February 2025, registration is only possible via the online form at www.dsgenf.ch under the “Language School” section, or using the QR code below.
Registration is only valid once both the completed registration form and the German course fees have been received. When making the payment, please indicate your child’s first and last name, the course number, and the payment reference “German Course”. A separate registration must be submitted for each child and each course.
Please also inform us of any learning difficulties or special needs your child may have so that we can take them into account in class.
After receiving the registration form, new students enrolling in courses 217 and above will receive an email link to complete a short online placement test. The result of this test must be sent to us in order to place the student in the appropriate level.
In special cases, you may cancel your child’s registration before May 31, 2025. Please note, however, that an administrative fee of CHF 100 will be retained. After this deadline, cancellations from parents are non-refundable. All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
If a course is full, the registration will be placed on a waiting list, but we cannot guarantee a spot. If the school has to cancel a course, any fees already paid will be refunded.
For any financial concerns, please contact Ms. Susanne Brück at brueck@dsgenf.ch, Director of the Language School.
In early July 2025, you will receive an email confirming the course and providing the list of required textbooks.
If there are not enough participants registered for a course, it will remain open for further registration and you will be informed accordingly.
In November 2025, parent-teacher meetings will be organized during class time for courses 217 to 241. Students will receive additional homework.
Parents’ health insurance must also cover accidents that occur on school premises.
