A different way of learning – in the Ateliers
In line with the German school curriculum, lessons usually end at 1 pm, leaving room for an afternoon full of exciting discoveries and new experiences. The children have the choice of going home or taking part in the school’s afternoon programme. If they decide in favour of the latter, they are picked up directly in the classroom by a school tutor, go to lunch together in the canteen and visit the different workshops until 5.45 pm, which offer a varied and diverse range of activities: Sport, theatre, music, cooking and much more.

Pedagogical principles & activities
In the afternoons, students engage in learning that differs from the traditional classroom approach—focusing on creativity, inquiry, and collaboration. A broad range of activities allows each student to design a personalized program based on their individual interests. This flexible structure fosters talent development, encourages the discovery of new passions, and supports continuous growth in an inspiring and supportive environment.
Work groups
At the secondary level, regular lessons continue into the afternoon, but students also have the opportunity to participate in voluntary study groups (AGs). These diverse activities—ranging from theatre and the chemistry Olympiad to robotics, chess, dance, and volleyball—are supervised by teachers and designed to nurture independence, curiosity, and commitment in a more open and creative environment.
